Production relocation, Large-format digital printing, Germany

Production relocation without supply interruption

A relocation succeeds when it is planned long before the first machine is taken down. During the move, a specialist service team inspected and serviced the equipment, and production restarted on time at the new site.

From the starting point to the result.

Challenge

The entire printing and finishing production had to move to a site 150 kilometres away: 15 machines spread across two halls of 3,000 m² each. Production then had to restart on time.

  • 15 printing and finishing machines
  • 150 km to the new site
  • Two halls of 3,000 m² each

Approach

WOLF planned the move strategically months in advance. While the machines were being dismantled and set up again, a specialist service team inspected and serviced them, so they went into operation at the new site in good condition.

  • Relocation planning months in advance
  • Technical inspection and servicing during the move
  • Flow of goods for the new site

Result

The ramp-up was on time – with an optimal flow of goods and a highly motivated team.
