Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

The protection of your personal data is important to us. Below we inform you about which personal data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose this is done and which rights you have.

This English version is provided for convenience only. In case of discrepancies, the German version is binding.

Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Wolf-International GmbH
Dr. Klaus-Jürgen Wolf
City West, Comercialstrasse 34
7000 Chur, Switzerland
Phone: +41 81 254 3993
E-mail: kjwolf@wolf-international.net

The controller decides alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, contact details, etc.).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of a breach of data protection law, you as a data subject have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. For Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, https://www.edoeb.admin.ch.

Persons residing in the European Economic Area may also contact the data protection supervisory authority of their place of residence or work. An overview of the supervisory authorities is available at https://www.edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to third parties. The data will be provided in a machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.

Right to information, rectification, restriction, erasure

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification, restriction or erasure of this data. In this regard and for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time via the contact options listed in the legal notice.

Right to object

Where we process your data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” address line of your browser and the lock symbol in the browser bar.

Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider. The personal data collected on this website is processed on the host’s servers. This may include in particular IP addresses, meta and communication data, website accesses and other data generated via a website.

The host is used for the purpose of providing our online offering securely, quickly and efficiently through a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our host processes your data only to the extent necessary to fulfil its service obligations and follows our instructions with regard to this data.

Server log files

In server log files, the provider of the website automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • Page visited on our domain
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation and the security of our website. Log data is automatically deleted after a short period unless security-relevant events require longer retention.

Contact by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, your details including your contact data will be stored in order to process your enquiry or to be available for follow-up questions. This data will not be passed on without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this was requested.

The data you transmit remains with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Cookies and browser storage

This website does not use cookies for analysis or advertising purposes and does not use any tracking services.

The language of the website follows from the address you open (German without a prefix, English under /en, Spanish under /es). No data is stored in your browser for this.

Fonts

This website uses the typefaces Archivo and Barlow. The font files are delivered directly from our own server. Visiting the website does not establish a connection to servers of Google or other font providers, and no personal data is transmitted to third parties in the process.

Embedded videos (YouTube, Vimeo)

Some articles embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) or Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA). When the page loads, only a placeholder is shown and no connection to these providers is made.

Only when you click “Play video” is the video loaded from the provider. In doing so, in particular your IP address, the page visited and technical details of your browser are transmitted to the provider; for Vimeo this may involve a transfer to the USA. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and Vimeo's “Do Not Track” setting. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw for the future at any time by not starting further videos.

Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://vimeo.com/privacy.

Retention period

Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. retention periods under commercial or tax law).

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with the current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services. The current privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
